The Hateful Eight was a Quentin Tarantino western released in 2015. In one fateful scene, Kurt Russel smashed a rare guitar that was supposed to be swapped out, but it was actually a priceless Martin Parlor guitar that was 145 years old. It was on loan from Martin Guitar Museum.
More than slightly upset, Martin no longer will loan any guitars to film producers.
