Guitar Lost and Found

Every Guitar Has A Story and some of our favorite stories are mysteries. Many famous guitars have gone missing. Some have been stolen. Some stories have a happy reunion.

Currently, Marty McFly’s guitar from the movie Back To The Future has a worldwide army of detectives on the hunt. A movie is being made about the missing movie guitar. A lot of people love this genre of guitar stories.

Here is the latest addition. Last month, Nancy Wilson of Heart, had her custom baritone Telecaster stolen from a show at The Hard Rock Casino in Atlantic City.

She called the guitar irreplaceable and part of her musical soul. It was a custom-made purple sparkle baritone Telecaster guitar with a hand-painted headstock. She offered a reward for the return of the guitar.

We are happy to report the thief was caught.

He did not have the instrument. His capture did lead to the lady who bought it. She gave it up willingly.

A vintage mandolin is still missing from the theft.

When you look at the headstock, it is hard to imagine this instrument could fly under the radar for long.
